OK, comparing some of the wording, I would also come to the conclusion that if I was using the IL ability, I could not use the General's Close Combat Expert, since CCE says "Give this character a Power Action."

If this is the case then yeah, I will be abandoning my efforts to mark an IL team.

The Society is only worth using if you know that you'll be up against Outwit characters. The best way to use IL is to already have the team members adjacent, and TK in the 3rd to attack and activate the TA. The technique requires a bit of finesse, but it can be used successfully.

Everyone should house rule IL as MoE just because they started out as the same ability. Why won't they just change it?

How are they different? They do not look different in the figure gallery on he Wiz Kids site...

Most likely since DC hasn't had a new starter out since the change to MoE. I'm guessing they figured IL could survive for a year or so with the help of The Society...
Now, here's a question: If IL is changed to correspond with the new MoE (eterna-pushing), would anyone still play The Society?

They changed MoE with the Danger Room Power Card. They now push as a Sentinel does taking one damage every time.

The reason to play MoE is figures like Kang, whose attack increases as he uses the team ability -- give Injustice League figures with a peak 12 attack, I'll play Injustice League.
