CW: Confession - Rated 9 - I kind of wish the 2 stories would have been told int he opposite order but I see why they did it the way they did. Anyways the 1st story has Tony talking to Steve about how and why he did eveything. And I have to say it really makes Tony look human again and not as such an arsehole. He even cries as he admits that the final price he had to pay was not worth it, cause as we see in that last nanel he was talking to Steve's body. the 2nd tale is Steve talking to Tony after he is 1st arrested. And Steve tells him how Tony has wizzed all over his morals and friends and what it truely means to fight for freedom and honor etc etc etc. Though Tony comes off as a huge arse in this tale, cause he talks down to Cap A. This tale also helps to show that Steve is still ahero even though he "quit".
New Avengers #28 - Rated 8 - Half of this is the Japan stuff continued where we see Elektra and the Hand coming after the heroes. WE also see whats been up before they came to Japan. The team is hiding out in Doc Stranges house and they find out Cap A is NOT DEAD and he is held in a prison, this is the info Ms. MArvel said to Spider-woman. The team goes there to free Cap A but its not really him and it turns out Carol flat out lied to her friend Spider-woman to set the trap. Looks like hte Mighty and the New are going to fight! Also, Jessica Jones is back woo!

This is the only one I had time to read during lunch and I have to agree with your assessment on this one. I really enjoyed the first story for trying to make Tony look more human and accepting of the fact that the end does not justify the means.
The second story does help show Cap's side, but I think most of us Cap fans aren't surprised by what is in here. I have to agree that there is quite the dichotomy between the two stories and the way Tony is represented. Just when they start to make you somewhat see Tony's side in the first story, he acts like a total Richard-head in the second one.
i think it's going to be a while before anybody can really respect Iron Man again. yes, he totally spat in Cap's face, but as he said in Mighty Avengers #1 if he hadn't done something SHIELD would have and there probably wouldn't be any more superheroes at all. i still don't support The Initiative, and i think Cap was totally right. i'd be a New Avenger for sure LOL. i only get Mighty for Frank Cho's art. freakin' ggreat stuff.
"Ring...Sling!" - Green Lantern, Justice League of America #3
Thunderbolts seems like a title that's really made up of jerks. If the writing wasn't so good I'm sure I would get tired of it, but the social commentary is a nice touch, albeit stuff I've heard quite a bit. Deodato's art is also looking great and I'm enjoying it more now then I had been in Amazing Spider-Man. As for the story, the Thunderbolts bicker and Songbird mentions how she deserves to be leader more then Moonstone. We got a nice look at how Radioactive Man gets the special treatment thanks to the Chinese government. We visit a few former heroes, Shadowoman, the Steel Spider, and another one I don't really recognize. We also get a hilarious super hero reality TV show commercial starring Stan Lee.
Spider-Man Reign was, uh, well, good I guess. I don't really know what to say. I always start reading the title and it wins me over by the end, but this time it didn't do as well as the previous issues. I still think it's a good series and says some interesting things, but I think I need more time to digest the whole resolution, maybe reread the whole thing sometime in the future. In short, Spider-Man returns and beats down five of the Sinister Six, the last one being Sandman finds out the girl leading the revolt of citizens is his concrete powered daughter. She gets torn apart by bullets and Sandman ends up switching sides. Spidey meets up with Venom who hates Spider-Man for leaving him alone on a planet he never wanted to go to and the fight is taken to the rooftops. Spidey fights a bunch of symbiotes when Sandman arrives and gives him the detonator that blows up the bombs placed in him and the rest of the six. The building explodes and things return to normal, and naturally Peter isn't quite dead yet.
CW Confession for me would be rated 10. This is the only time that I completely symphatize for the proreg side. I was nodding while reading Tony's monologue. Bendis hit the spot on this one even though he had to do a little retro for Tony's sake.
Either way, this issue was great, it made Tony credible again and it also made me respect him despite averything that has happened. Great jobfrom Bendis on this one
God is dog backwards.

This is so far turning out to be an excellant title.
I agree with Confessions being better the other way around.
Also... what's up with New Avengers? I mean, they Mighty Avengers/New Avengers battle appears to be a flashback, right. Kinda robs all the fun out of it since you know... somehow the vastly outgunned New Avengers are going to get away. I'm bettin on some Sorceror Supreme action on that one. Cause honestly... who on the New Avengers could even hurt half the people on the Mighty Avengers?
I'm guessin the order of things goes.
CW Confessions 1,The next Captain America Issue(Autopsy) ,CW Confessions Story 1, New Avengers?
Nice to see Cap being buried with the Shield (well the one not given to Colbert. Makes me think he's really dead... but they'll do a fakeout "Is he really alive!" when his grave gets dug up for someone to take the shield. Like Bucky or something to be the Anti-reg Captain America.
I don't know why but I half expect Falcon to become the "Pro-Reg" Captain America or atleast the government sponsered Captain America now. I'd actually dig it if they went with a Death of Superman type thing with a bunch of Caps.
