He's pretty uber powerful... but at 219 points, I don't know how to build a team around him.

I'm trying to come up with a 500 point team, and possibly a 300 pointer.

Anyone have any suggestions for possible teammates/strategies?

if your goint o spend 219 on a fig spend the extra 17 points for LE supes if you have him hes a beast and a half

worth all 17 extra points and then some

you can viably even use him in a 300 point game with a taxi and a helper just hit the guy with outwit first if their is a medic gamble and hit the medic first so no healling back to outwit

once outwit is gone hes superpowerful

not unbeatable but sure as he ll anoying

use either the LE or the E version instead of the Vet. The vet has way to many clicks of Leadership and has the JLA abillity instead of the Supes Ally.

The V is really only usable in 1000 point games with turn restrictions - but even then, the LE is much better.

I agree with the others. The vet superman is a wee bit expensive and would be an outwit magnet in games. Use the exp superman in the 300 pointer. The E is a much better representation of big blue imo anyway. As for the LE he rocks in higherpoint games, just don't take the piece for granted because he can be beatten. Hope this helps BJ.

Hasn't anyone actually used the V successfully? I'm not throwing him in a tournament- just playing with friends in fun games- so I want to bust out V Superman, but I want to at least be competitive- or at least go down swinging...

I have the E Supes also, and I know he is more cost-effective (plus can see stealthed figs)- but I really want to fit the V in somehow.

Well vet superman is hard to use. At 219 points are arn't allowed much room to work with. We are going to attempt to do a 300 point team.

You have 2 main dangers to take care of, outwit and attack value. Superman has 5 clicks of imperviouse with low defense. Basicly what I would do is take Superman, and Le manbat, and either some medics or thugs. Don't worry about the le manbat you can easly buy him for 10 bucks off of ebay.

You do not want to go first.

You start the game and you use superman to taxi LE manbat within charge range of something threatening but out of shooting range of most things. So the most they can do is outwit imperviouse and shake thier fists angerly at you.

Next turn you have manbat charge down into something threatening, preferable something with outwit. If manbats attacks don't hurt the fellow the poison will. After this either have him move on to the next outwiter or use him to tie up perpexers/outwiters/medics.

Now for Superman. Have him go after any remaining people with outwit and anyone with an attack higher than nine. Hound thouse people with high attack, do everything you can to weaken them. Superman's defense goes up to 17 with toughness. That is supriseingly hard for a DC monkey to hit and if you hunt down anyone with a high attack you will be in a situation where everyone will be rolling either 9's-10's to hit superman. Also by the same token by lowering people's attack values you may get lucky and end up in a situation where no one can hurt you.

Don't be affraid to push superman around, if it will result in a lower attack value for your opponent then go get them. Also make sure you put superman onto his 17 defense click yourself. Many opponents have an annoying tendency to put your figgures past thier best clicks. It's a shame really. Anyway. If you plan it right and you make zero mistakes and your opponent makes a couple then you can pull a win. Also don't forget to shoot with superman, don't be afraid to soar again, and invest in both the terrain packs. The lamp post and the dumpster can make you threatening enough so that it will be a tough choise as to what to outwit. This can buy you an extra turn or two.

It's tough to figure anything out for him in such a small game- but I like challenges like this. Such a cool figure- I just have to use him sometimes.

Well its been awhile, so did anything I say work out? I just curiouse because I pulled most of that stuff out of my backside. I was wondering if any of it worked out.
