... Really? Then everyone who has ever used a figure's Probability Control to reroll their own attack, or Perplex their own combat value, was doing something wrong?
My gut reaction would be that Lex does not roll when perplexing himself. Only when he perplexes a friendly character.
I would reply that the wording on the power is regarding the "player's" team, NOT Lex Luthor's. So when it says "target friendly character" they're referring to a target friendly character on your (the player's) team. And that would include Lex Luthor himself.

So here I go adding to Kaitouace's sig again, but he hit the nail on the head. FOOM is very playable.

And you would be correct :

a character is a friendly character to itself since it is played by the same player (you).

... you sure as heck can target yourself.
Well, maybe I worded it poorly. But, did you read the rest of my comments. Maybe I should have said, a figure DOESN'T ever have to target themselves because they always have LOS to themselves.
Does that make more sense in what I was trying to say.
Like I said, I could be wrong. I am just stating how I understand some of the restrictions on figures using abilities on themselves.

But figures do NOT always have LOF to themselves (FYI, there is no LoS in Heroclix ).
This is why characters with Stealth and PC that are hiding in hindering terrain must drop their Stealth before making an attack roll if they hope to benefit from their own PC (look it up, its in the FAQ).

Lex will roll when he uses his SP on himself.
Jimmiemanee crickets!!! I hate being wrong! However, I followed your advice and went back to check the FAQ, and I had the ruling backwards in my mind. So, I was just making up stuff all the time for the last couple of months.
Cool, now people will think I am crazy and stupid, and that gives me a psycological edge! Starro will soon be mine! ALL MINE!!!!
