Question. If Colossus throws Banshee, and Banshee Pulse Waves with Colossus inside his range, does Banshee get to ignore the -2 penalty to attack (it seems like damage is replaced to 1 so the -2 there wouldn't apply)?
Of course Colossus stands to take a click... but still.:cross-eye

It would seem like Banshee would ignore the Fastball Special power - including the modifiers. Right?
Likewise, if Colossus uses Fastball Special, and then turns the power off - would the -2/-2 still apply?
Thanks!

I'm not the best source when it comes to rules, but would the usage of Fastball Special via getting Banshee in position also mean that since he was indeed Fastballed he would get the -2 automatically as soon as he lands in the spot he was Fastballed in.

I think that falls in the same boat as not ignoring perplex and outwit when pulsewaving. Like if you lose running shot due to outwit, you dont just get it back since your going to pulsewave. and if you perplex up your own teams attack or damage to do a pulsewave, you dont have to ignore it.
as for turning off the power, that might need a one liner in the faq

I'd say that's sound reasoning. However, GD's Ouija board may differ; its been acting a bit squirrelly lately.

I don't think that would work. Cancelling an optional power doesn't make the power 'go away', it just means it isn't used, but in the case of FBS the penalty you are trying to mitigate is not based on currrently using the power, but on the previous use of the power. If FBS is cancelled it is still on Colossus' dial and still affects Banshee's stats.
If there was a way to Counter FBS after using it, or Collosus pushed to FBS and lost the power as a result, then I think the penalty modifiers would no longer apply as the source no longer exists.
This is just my humble opinion though...
