Last night, I played in a tournament using an Arachnos team. My opponent used Arcade who has Deathtrap. The judge ruled that it was the objects causing damage, thus, the Arachnos team ability affected the object, not Arcade. However, looking at a thread about Arcade, it states that Arcade's power is causing the damage, not the object. Thus, wouldn't it be that Arcade would take the Arachnos damage?
I searched the forums already but couldn't find where this was already addressed. Thanks for the help!

It has been ruled that if Arcade is equipped with Armor Piercing the Deathtrap damage will be Armor Piercing as well - the gist of it is that Arcade deals the damage, not the object.
However, I do not think using Deathtrap will activate Mystics/Arachnos, as those only activates when the figure takes damage from an attack - Deathtrap is not an attack but merely damage dealt, just like Poison.
Hmmm, well we judged that it was Arcade doing the damage not technically the objects so: 1. Armor piercing on Arcade worked and 2. Nanoarmor on the target did not. I did not personally read the forum where this was discussed, but that discusson was the basis on our ruling. I think you're right, if it's Arcade doing the damage then it's Arcade taking the Arachnos. Kudos for playing Archnos btw.
shoot, quebbster looks right in the way he said it. His sig says it all. I'm not arguing.
