I have a question about Speedy's special power. For reference:
Quote
Trick Arrows: Give Speedy a ranged combat action; Speedy can remove from the game up to three hindering terrain markers, or barrier terrain markers (removing makers one at a time) to which he has a clear line of fire at the time the marker is removed, after which he can make a ranged combat attack.
Obviously, it can remove barrier or smoke cloud tokens.
Also obviously, it cannot remove terrain printed on the map.
However, when an object is destroyed it becomes hindering terrain. Can trick arrows remove the resulting hindering terrain? I would think so.
This would allow the following: Batman is parked on an object. You can blast the object. Then Speedy does a Running Shot, clears out the object debris, and shoots Batman.
And the sculpt has a boxing glove arrow... Very cool.
The only thing about this combination that might not work (if I understand the rules correctly) is that Speedy cannot draw clear line of fire to the object because Batman is on top of the object.
Somebody smarter in the rules might be able to correct me if I'm wrong. I just remember it being this way back in the day
i think it works so he can running shot in, remove three objects one at a time, then make a ranged attack. so batman is parked on an object, speedy uses running shot in combination with trick arrows and removes the object and two others. he can then make a ranged combat attack. I think that is how it works

No, he can draw line of fire to the square just fine regardless of whether there is a figure there or not.
This was ruled upon with Mr Mxyzptlk's Object Animation power, so it's gospel.
However, when an object is destroyed it becomes hindering terrain. Can trick arrows remove the resulting hindering terrain? I would think so.
Destroyed objects are are replaced by debris token markers per the rulebook:

So, while debris token markers create hindering terrain, they are not hindering terrain markers, and therefore can't be removed by Speedy's Trick Arrows.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries....now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

QUOTE=Uniquist]Don't "debris token markers" = "hindering terrain markers"?[/quote]Nope. Debris token markers create hindering terrain, as do hindering terrain markers, but then so do objects and a green boundary around a square. Each is a separate cause of hindering terrain.
For comparison, cows produce milk, goats produce milk, as do dogs and cats, but goats, dogs and cats are not cows by vurtue of producing milk. The abililty to produce milk does contribute to them both being classified as mammals.

They are 'debris token markers', otherwise they'd just call them 'hindering terrain markers'.

This character must have a clear line of fire to at least one of the hindering terrain markers. These markers can’t be placed on blocking terrain but can be placed on hindering terrain or in squares occupied by characters. These terrain markers remain in place until the beginning of your next turn or until this power is countered or lost. A soaring character can’t use this power

When a wall is destroyed, place debris terrain markers in the squares adjacent to both sides of the destroyed wall, as shown in Figure 18. These markers act as hindering terrain and represent the debris remaining after the wall’s destruction.
As you can see, the rules do distinguish between the usage of the two terms, much like action and attack, so I have no problem accepting them as distinctly different elements. It would be nice if the beginning of the rulebook and FAQratta followed the distinction accurately though. 'Hindering terrain markers' are refered to as 'smoke cloud markers' under the "CHECK YOU GEAR" section of the rulebook on pg 3, and debris tokens are called 'rubble tokens' in the FAQ where it discusses destroying Barrier Tokens. That said, I think in both cases the idea of them being different is supported, unfortunately they do it using incorrect terminology.
Feel free to discuss it with the RA if you still disagree, though I'm pretty sure my interpretation is accurate.

I believe that he may remove up to three of each in a game, but he can only remove one at a time.

Each time you use Trick Arrows, Speedy can remove up to three smoke/barrier markers. He removes them one at a time though, so he does not need to be able to draw line of fire to all three at the start of the action - in other words, he can remove one Barrier token and then proceed to the Barrier token behind the first Barrier token that was obstructed from view at the beginning of the action.
There is no limit to the number of times Speedy can use Trick Arrows in a game though.

I have NEVER heard that interpretation before. Saying that WK would "otherwise they'd just call them...." isn't a good reason - WK doesn't define/use terms all that consistently, you know that. And using action and attack as a comparison is pretty extreme, no?
But Ok, let's get your reasoning - you're basically saying Speedy can ONLY remove (for hindering terrain) smoke cloud-generated markers, right?
I think it's pretty likely to hear that "debris tokens" = "rubble tokens" = "hindering terrain markers". I'll put it on the WK judge forum if it's not there already and report back.
EDIT: Norm is taking that question to Game Design. We'll see what they come up with.
