Is it possible to attack using an object with force blast?
On the power card it says, "FORCE BLAST. This character can knock back other characters and **objects** with a forceful blast."
Could you force blast an object into a figure, doing standard object damage, as if thrown or TK'd?
For example, Blue Beetle is standing adjacent to light object. In the same line of fire two squares away stands The Joker. Blue Beetle uses force blast on the object and pushes it two squares, and ends up occupying the same square as Joker.
Would Joker take two clix of damage, or would he now be standing on the light object?
An object and a figure cannot occupy the same square, so does the object stop at 1 square, does it push Joker back (which would be inconsistent with the rules, so I doubt it) or would Joker then be standing on top of the car. If Joker is standing on top of the car, wouldn't that require a move action, and then stopping in (on) hindering terrain?
An object and a figure can not occupy the same space? Are you sure you are reading that right? How in the world would a stealthed figure ever be able to stand on one of the object tokens then? Figures and objects can occupy the same space. The object would still go into Joker's square. The joker would then be considered in hindering terrain. It does not mean that he has picked it up. On his turn, he would have half movement out of the hindering terrain.
Given the example the object should end up in Joker's square, giving him the ranged protection of Hindering Terrain and halving his speed if he decides to move next turn, as has been stated.
Now, this example isn't too helpful, but it could be a useful tactic elsewhere. If you move an object under a figure with Charge then their Charge speed will be 1/4 normal (halved for Charge and halved for leaving hindering terrain). Or you could push an object under a figure of your own to increase defense or better yet, hide a stealthed figure. But these opportunities would probably be rare.
Force Blast is the only power I haven't used ever, but now that my regular opponent uses Stealth a LOT, I was gonna throw in a Blue Beetle so I had some very dumb questions, I feel like such a newbie *sigh*
1. Do you have to roll for Force Blast? I'm guessing no.
2. Does it work at range? I.E. Can E Blue Beetlee push someone 2 squares from 8 spaces away or does he have to be adjacent to the character being force blasted? I'm guessing ranged is fine.
3. Someone with Force Blast has 2 aarows. Can I use force Blast on 2 characters? I'm guessing no because it's a move action.
So how about this one. Say your Rookie Blue Beetle is based with Exp Batman. Can he (Blue Beetle) choose to force blast the object away instead of Batman? I know that my phasing Swamp Thing with SS can run by and grab the object under Batman, and then phase away.
