Fortitude and Repulsor Shield - grant immunity to outwit and psychic blast (among others I know).
Quintessence\Power Cosmic prevents their powers from being ignored.

Therefore who trumps who - are Fort and RS wasted on E2 if facing the aforementioned bad boys because of Q\PC TA?

I know if I was not worried about the Big Guns I would put both on E2 but if their TA trumps the cards then I would be better off using the 50 points elsewhere

Incorrect. PC/Quintessences's powers cannot be canceled. Therefore, they are still susceptible to Fortitude and Repulsor Shield.

Nope...can't be countered.

Thanks , I double checked the wording and it says cannot be countered.

So ignored was the wrong word

Fort and RS allows the character to ignore outwit and psychic blast

In effect - countering their outwit (Fort) and their psychic blast (RS)

Choose a character.
The character ignores other characters’ Force Blast, Psychic Blast and Ranged Combat Expert.

Fortitude
Choose a character.
The character ignores other characters’ Exploit Weakness. Outwit can't be used by other characters to counter the character's powers.

Theres's really no crossover between the Q/PC TA and someone assigned Fortitude and Repulsor Shield. These all provide basically defensive characteristics to those using them. As stated above, the Q/PC TA prevents that figure's powers from being countered, NOT that the Q/PC figure's powers (offensive in this case) trump the defensive capabilities of other figures. Q/PC is great, just not that great!!

Don't use the wrong words, even in an example. It just leads to more confusion. Which leads to hate, anger, questions, killing younglings, etc.

Those feats ignore those powers. If it countered them, they would not be able to use them on anyone

It's not countering the power, it's ignoring as you said. They can still use them, they just don't work basically.

Cool - that means i may be able to stand a chance against some of the big guys.
