This is for a 400 pt, Marvel only, no named dups tournament.
Now don't start flaming, I think this is kind of a cheesy team. Hence the name. But I will be facing multiple teams with Firelord/Bullseye, along with the odd hellaperplexed nightcrawler team, so I don't feel too awfully bad. Besides, it's fun to play a tweaked out cheese team sometimes!
We have:
V Ultron 188 pts
V Psylocke 48 pts
E Taskmaster 58 pts
V SHIELD Sniper 18 pts
V SWAT Specialist 22 pts
E Shadowcat 33 pts
V Vulture 24 pts
V Paramedic 12 pts
= 400 pts
I have Ultron taxi up with Psylocke. Shadowcat taxies Shield Sniper, Vulture taxies SWAT guy. Both of the SHIELD teams and Psylocke are clustered around Ultron. Taskmaster moves up on his own.
Next turn, Taskmaster rolls for leadership, moves again to get into enhance position and that gives me 2 natural enhancers and 2 shield enchancements on Ultrons 3 arrow energy explosion. Ultron, with a 14 AV, multiple energy explodes anyone within 10 range. Each energy explosion will do 5 damage, overlaps will take 10 damage (or 15 if they get three overlaps).
Rest, repeat until none are left standing. Taskmaster and Psylock are good against anyone who comes in close, the Sniper can hit for 2 at range, the SWAT can hit for 3 at moderate range. The taxis can get people out, back to a medic.
It's not very sneaky, and won't take much strategy to play, but it WILL be fun!

Cheese is right. I think teams like this are against the "spirit" of the game. Of course it is an awesome strategy, but these teams turn off the "real" comic fans.
You are using E Ultron, but not his best cheese factor, his wildcard team ability.
You need Boomerang and his synister syndicate ability. Park Boomerang next to Ultron and he can share his 13 attack value. Then add a rookie Robin to your team for the Batman team ability and park Ultron in Hindering terrain. Ultron can use the Batman team ability to stay hidden.
So now you have Psylocke next to Ultron both in stealth. Psylocke can enahnce Ultron and Boomerang and provides protection for close combat with BCF.
All you need is a R Inv Girl, E Black Panther, and some Con artists add extra cheese to your team.
Whenver I set up teams like this I find that people never move in my range. A smart oppoent will hide and come around back and take out your supporting figures.
One smart way to play this team is to "chase" people. Let them move somewhere then move your team out and into position relative to them.. They will push to move away usually. You rest. They move again... do the same. At some point you will either corner them or they will bring the fight to you which can be good and bad.
Another smart thing to do with a team like this is load up on perplexers. Most people don't expect you to perplex Ultron's range up to 13 or 14 for a 3 target EE, so they will sit 12 or so away thinking they are safe... that would be mean.

He! That's a good one! Thanks!

Actually, I'm using the Vet Ultron, who's MOE, not MOD. I chose Vet because of the 3 arrow energy explosion. I just want to do as much energy explosion damage as possible.

You're exactly right. But that's not the point. I could win with this team, but I'm not really concerned with that. I just want to play a big robot who blows things up really good.
Seriously, this is a fun, cheesy team. My goal is not to dominate the 10-13 yr olds and taunt them with all of my LE's. It's just to have a little outrageous fun. And if I toast a few Firelords or R Invis Girl armies along the way, well, all the better!

better hope you don't match up with anyone with any sense for strategy. an opponenet with MC or TK could start shaking you down. Add a leadership roll to that and they could use the extra move to base-to-base your snipers
What if you don't get that leadership roll with Tasky?

Ooooo. The condescending tone comes right through that "real" comment.
I don't care to try to claim king of the mountain over who's a "real" comic fan. You missed the point.
I will be playing against Firelord/Bullseye/Invis Girl, multiple-hooker-perplexed-Nightcrawlers. The people that show up regularly for the tournament enjoy comics, and enjoy strategy games.
Often, I play "fun" "themed" teams that make "comic book sense" (whatever the heck that is. I mean, have you actually READ the comic books? they're not exactly, ehem, consistant, eh?). This week, I'm going for fun cheese. Don't care if I win. Just want to destroy a R Invis girl turtle.
heh

eh, no big deal. I have some sense of strategy, myself. A MC or Tk guy could be trouble, sure. If I let them get into place. But if they can get me, I can get them, too.
And Taskmaster's leadership really only comes into play early. I intend to push him right past it into, that's right, Enhancement! If he doesn't get it, no big deal.
This isn't an invincible team, or one that I'm even particularly concerned about winning with. It'll just be fun to see if I can pull off multiply enhanced energy explosions.

Good luck with that...as I am one of the other players who actually uses "strategy" I have to say that nobody who knows how to play this game (think you, me, my cousin, and anyone that plays there that is above 10) would ever get within your range and/or group their figs together for the ee. A stealthed bcf team would really hurt. I don't mean to diss your team, but the Ultron thing has been done there so often...wouldn't it be more fun to play Nightcrawler, Avalanche, and like 15 con artists? haha Anyways, good luck as always.

ah. didn't know that. i haven't been playing there for that long. i haven't seen anyone using ultron before.
eh, maybe i'll play something different then.
I have this 400 pt SHIELD army .....

yeah, that's fun, too. but i've done that several times in our home games.

Yeah my cousin used to play Ultron all the time, and now Tony (short, bald guy) and Mike (the tall crew cut guy) have played him quite a few times...I was thinking of doing a "Hydra and SHIELD call a truce team" so that my Hand Ninjas, Shield Snipers, etc can have like attack values of like 13 for 8 or 9 damage...that would be fun.
