Got em both, not sure which would make a better centerpiece to build my SI team around. I can see benefits to both, and a lot of the pros/cons are just situational (and no, I don't know what maps we'll be using).
The rest of my SI figs who'd fit under the 300pt limit are as follows:
2 x Moloids
Sharon Carter
Arachne
Mass Master
Hercules
Goliath
Kristoff
Mole Man
Dr. Strange
Cloak and Dagger
Ringmaster
Power Man and Iron Fist
Spider-Man
Using Skrull Ms. Marvel would completely fulfill the 50% SI requirement, which at this point I'm thinking might be the tiebreaker between the two figs.
SMM is pretty sweet, and the skrulls keyword team can be excellent and annoying. i think building a keyword team will be important to her, as you want that first attack to stick and the rerolls would help. (i am biased as a theme player, though)
if you have the pieces,
SMM (168)
skrull general + contingency plan
skrull infiltrator x3
the strategy is simple. use infiltrators as tie up/support piece KOer.
keep the general back, and build up CT tokens.
Dr. Strange needs low-cost characters with Stealth and/or Energy Shield/Deflection (From Strange's 18 defense w/Defend, they'll have 20 defenses against range) to stand in front of him. Otherwise, it's open house and he won't last long.
Skrull Ms. Marvel works well on her own. If anything, you'll want something to get her movement up. That could be Mole Man with Contingency Plan. You can use Spider-Man for some close combat tie-up and Mass Master to create hindering for Ms. Marvel and Mole Man to hide in when need be. That'll leave you with two points left.

If you have the Kinetic Accelerator, it works awesome for her speed
The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the Gunslinger followed...

Low cost, ES/D, maybe some Outwit or Enhancement for support... Ah - Clea! What a match! It's cheezy AND comic-accurate!
How often can you kill those two birds with one stone?
(I think I'll do that, and throw in Allen the Alien + Loner for close combat... bueno!)

Sadly the OP doesn't seem to have a Clea... it is an interesting combo though. And there is a lot of other pieces should you want to round up that team with some Mystic cheeze for a great fondue!
Dr Strange 149
Clea 59
Klarion 76
Warbound (Mystical) x 3 15
Total: 299
Voila! Mystical cheeze fondue with a side dish of Wildcard abuse ready to go!
I had great success with the following Mystical team:
Dr Strange*
*w/ alias
Clea
Wiccan
Scarlet Witch
Push Wiccan to PC and let your opponents have fun. The high defenses and multiple re-rolls allow for much safety on offense and defense. Clea's mind control also helped me greatly in turning a wounded Gamora into a killing machine for me.
Some are born great
Some achieve greatness
And some have greatness thrust upon them
