Can I strike with a weapon when I attack with my hero, then with the same weapon, strike while I'm defending?

Sry I know it's an easy question but for some reason I can't find it in the rulebook.

Ya have to ready a weapon to strike, so if that weapon's exhausted after attacking and still is when you defend, you can't hit with it again.

The answer is no. When you strike with a weapon, the item and your hero exhausts. So on your opponents turn you can't swing it because it's not ready yet, if you used it on your turn.

Just to clarify the above: Striking a weapon doesn't cause your hero to exhaust. Your hero was exhausted because it attacked.

To strike a weapon, you must exhaust it and pay its strike cost. If your weapon is already exhausted, you will not be able to strike it.
