When an ally is dealt damage, Skorn deals that amount of shadow damage to target hero in that ally's party.
Lets say you deal damage to an ally that exceeds that ally's health (ie fire blast on apprentice teep); Does Skorn deal 2 damage to that ally's hero or just 1?
Also, she isnt unique so I am guessing that if u have multiple skorns in play their effect would stack (say fire blast to Crazy Ig; that hero takes 2 dmg for each Skorn in play)
Unless I am totally wrong I think there is some really good potential for this card, but I want to ask here and make sure this works like I imagine it in my brain
Not 100% sure, but using the example above; Skorn, Mistress of the Shadows would do only 1 damage when an ally is hit with a 2 damage ability. So exceeded damage does not add on to it's ability.
Also her effect WOULD stack, and has great potential. However remember your opponent ALSO gets to use this effect on you as well, and at 5 resources with 3 attack and 2 health it doesn't seem like a very good investment. Unless of course you make a deck using it as your primary strategy.
well there are some pretty cool combos I am going to look into for her, mainly using Soul Link to negate the damage she would do to my hero. While thinking of Soul Link I tried to think of ways to turn that disadvantage to an advantage and here is what I thought of
This would have to be a stall deck as it would require a fair amount of setup, but consider- soul link; skorn; the voidwalker; and the troll allies that gain attack when they have dmg- basically whenever skorn is used against you shift the damage to da trolls and smack ur opponent down with them; Even if they protect they are still taking damage, and hopefully much more damage than you are
I'd think that you could simply have 1] Elusive 2] Bouncers to deal with them Skorning you. However, Skorn is highly dependent on allies being there. With solo heroes being viable, Skorn would be rather unreliable a playing style.

Unfortunately the Soul Link + Skorn, Mistress of Shadow combo will not work as "when an ally is dealt damage," is still in effect when you "put one damage on an ally in your party" from Soul Link. So in the end your not actually negating damage as your hero is taking damage everytime you use Soul Link, because of the effect from skorn, Mistress of Shadow.

As well, although Soul Link + Blood Guard Mal'wani/Ya'mon is a good combo, Skorn, Mistress of Shadow is still dealing damage to your hero for the same reason above. Your better off without her if you plan on using Soul Link in general.
...
Of course, I could BE HORRIBLY mistaken, I understand it as the ability works for your opponent as well or when damage is done to an ally in general. OTHERWISE the text on Skorn, Mistress of Shadow SHOULD state "when an OPPOSING ally is dealt damage, Skorn deals that amount of shadow damage to target hero in that ally's party," but it doesn't. So it must effect your hero and allies as well right?
It does effect your hero and allies, Alpha. And I doubt you're horribly mistaken at all.
However, I think Soul Link + Skorn does work. Skorn's effect only works when an ally is dealt damage. It seems to me that if they wanted Soul Link to deal damage they'd have said, "Deal 1 damage to an ally in your party" instead of "Put 1 damage on an ally in your party."
Of course, I'm assuming the use of the phrase "put damage on" isn't the same as "deal damage to."
Im pretty sure that putting damage on a guy and dealing damage to a guy are two different things, ala magic; That was what caught my eye when I read the card
