I played a game this weeken with Triton, and in the course of the game a question came up.
Aquatic Scout:
Triton can use Charge. When Triton occupies water terrain, any line of fire drawn to him that crosses any square of that water terrain is treated as though it crosses blocking terrain.
So i base Professor X who is not in water terrain, but Triton is. Prof declares an outwit on his combat reflexes. The question is does the square of water he is standing in enough to trigger this SP and block that line of fire? I was of the opinion that id did, the judge was not. I know that stealth includes the square the character is in, but it also states that in power description, and Aquatic Scout doesn't.

It says so right there. The square he is standing on is part of the water terrain feature even if that water is only a single square. As long as LoF crosses any square of the water terrain feature, it is blocked.
But in this case the line of fire did not CROSS a square of water terrain. It only entered the one that Triton was in as the two figures were adjacent.
Does just entering the square count as crossing it

My interpretation of this would be that as the lof did go over/through the boundary of the water terrain, it crossed it the water terrain.

It does cross water, the block that Triton is standing on... c'mon!

I would like to think that the power would count, but my interpretation of crossing the square of water terrain means completely crossing it. In this case it only goes to the center of it.
I really do hope that my interpretation is wrong though

So, by your logic, if my line of fire crosses through only the edge of a square, say 1/8 of the edge, it is good? Same for regular Stealth. Your logic would have that adjacency negates Stealth - which as we all know by now, like it or not - is not true
As soon as a line of fire enters a square, any square, it has crossed it
To sum up
LOF = Blocked
Harpua = right
Envoy = junkshotted

So he was in water terrain. LOF blocked period.
We only lose the games that we play and learn how difficult can be .
