Can someone please explain these more clearly? perhaps with an expample, as I don't get the 'attack against only you' and the 'attack that targets only you' parts.
My understanding for Alpha rules is that there is only range and one target as multiple targets are not used. The only power allowing more that one attack per turn for one figure is Flurry.
The only other explanation I can think of is that it is intended to clarify that you cannot attack the figure with Weaken or Shape Change, but you can still attack his teammates.
(and no, I am not being sexist - at present only male characters have those two powers. In the Batman Alpha set at least...)
WEAKEN Enemies that begin their turn adjacent to you can’t move and attack. Enemies that move on their turn can’t make an attack against only you.
If you took this phrase out, it would significantly change the power:

While Weaken is already incredibly powerful in Alpha, this would make it over the top.
And if it said "Enemies that move on their turn can't make an attack against you," that would leave it open to interpretation to "you that individual figure" or "you the player (and thus none of your figures)." It is obviously meant to be "you that individual figure".
I agree that the "only you" is redundant, but I think they were trying to be as clear as possible so as to cut down the amount of Errata needed right off the bat.
Something doesnt make sense here.
You mean you can NEVER attack those figs if they have Weaken or Shape Change is showing?
So they only way you can take them down is with Poison or EE?
Because there is no pushing so it seems just too powerful...
I haven't played Alpha much, but we've been playing that it means that opposing figs to the ones that have Weaken or Shape Change, cannot move AND attack those figs. Therefore only attack if they are already adjacent and havent moved that turn. It seems to make more sense this way and still keeps Weaken very powerful with Alpha rules. Badly worded powers.
