sorry if this has been asked, but what exactly is the difference between a standard power and a named power.

Not a lot. A standard power is -

A power or ability whose effects are described on the Powers and Abilities Card.

Whilst a Named power is -

A power with a character-specific label in capital letters, followed by the name of a standard power in parentheses.

So as you can see, a named power is just a standard power with a fancy new name, such as Batman's Charge being tagged as 'Jetboots'.

So he just cant outwit special powers right?

Correct....

He can't Outwit abilities either.
(As in Flight, Carry, Indomitable and so on.)

Normal Outwit can.
(Other then Team Abilities, that is.)
