I will be playing my friend in a 1000 point brawl, where I will be using Scientists against his god fearing magic users. This is the team I have thought up so far. Rules are, there are no Feats, BFCs and 5 actions per turn.

The number 1 rule when playing against a mystics team and you're using scientist is:

Play chief! He nets you the ability to possibly push with no damage, perplex, healing and the all important outsiders TA.

On top of that the team looks good. I would suggest downgrading Spiderman to SI Spiderman and taking out norman osborne as well. I'm also not sure how Blue Beetle will do without booster gold. In their place SI spiderman, Alex Luthor, chief and tarantula. Stingray can downgrade to R All- new Atom.

Now if you happen to have Graviton or the bird guy form the Green Lantern set, then you can really make your team nasty.

I'll be beating down these nerds with a team of terrible mystical might.

Other pieces I might consider for amusement value include Dr. Fate/Hector Hall, Nightmare... and perhaps Black Adam...

The chief will make his appearance, as that is solid advise! I just recently bought the Norman Osborne and I wanted to see him in action. Stingray I have to say was a filler piece but I will consider all your advise to beat those dirty hippies and their mumbo jumbo.

If I were you, I'd consider just forfeiting the game to the scientists. They will swarm all around you and beat you down with word problems and geometry questions. It will be hilarious!

If you haven't used Norman, you need to. Hes still a good character.

Either leave your team the same as your first post (switch out blue beetle for Supernova E Antman though, he gets you perplex and he has share defense of 17) or:

Take off Spiderman, Beetle and Stingray for Tarantula (her poison could come in handy), SI spiderman, chief and R Controller (infinity challenge) at this point you should be able to squeeze in an Amadeus Cho pog (for extra outwit).

These are just suggestions though. Pick something you'll know you'll have fun with!!
