I have two rules questions I didn't find an answer to.
1) If Super-Adaptoid uses Attack Drain to copy an ability of an opposing figure, does he retain this ability even if the "source" is outwitted? For example: Super-Adaptoid copies Wolverine's BCF. Wolverine's BCF is then Outwitted by MODOK. Can Super-Adaptoid keep on using BCF? The way I read it, this should work. I just wanted to make sure before playing the Adaptoid.
2) I know that the Alt F4 TA has been errated to "replace with unmodified Defense Value". How does that interact with the current Perplex rules? If say Ben Grimm replaces his Defense Value with Sue Storm's, can Reed Richards still Perplex up Ben's Defense Value? The general rule is to go in the order of "replace then modify" and other Powers that add to Defense Values (like CR and ESD) are compatible with the ATA (or am I wrong here?), so does this extend to NuPlex as well?
In principle I was wondering, if you could give a whole F4 team a 20 Defense Value by copying the LE Sue Storm's Defense Value and then Perplexing everybody with Brilliant Tactician on Mr. Fantastic.

ATTACK DRAIN: Give Super-Adaptoid a power action. As a free action it can use any standard or named attack power possessed by an opposing character 4 or fewer squares away to which it has a clear line of fire. Super-Adaptoid can use the power until it loses Attack Drain, Attack Drain is countered, or it uses Attack Drain to use a different power. After the resolution of an action in which Super-Adaptoid uses a power via Attack Drain roll 2d6. On a result of 2-5, deal 1 penetrating damage to Super-Adaptiod.
Attack Drain does not state the power is lost if the original source loses it or has it countered, so I can only agree with your analysis: S-A should retain the power.

This is really a matter of timing. Perplex is an independent action, whereas any value sharing is done as part of an attack sequence. Therefore, the Perplex bonus is applied first and is then 'overwritten' by the replacement defense.
Still, a 19 D for the whole team is pretty bad too.

So the rule is now that any replacement happens only during the time of the attack? I knew that was the case for Defend, but I must have missed the part that this is now the universal rule for all replacements.

I know, I was just wondering if this could possibly be even more exploited with the new Perplex rules.

The Batman Enemy/Sinister Syndicate and Defenders/JSA TAs also state that they take effect during an attack. The FF ATA does not, but fortunately there is this clause in the rule book to fall back on:
