Let's say I equip Stardust with Lunge and Maneuver. I have Stardust carry Morlock Leader, and stop one square away from a target (Morlock flanking).

On the next turn (following its positioning like the diagram), can Stardust Lunge one space into adjacency with X, do a close combat attack on it, then Maneuver it back into adjacency with M? Was curious if a fig equipped with Lunge HAD to be adjacent to an enemy fig in order to use it...

You do not have to be next to an opponent to Lunge. If you happen to be next to one, you can break away freely.

Prerequisites: Close Combat Expert or Leap/Climb

Choose a Character
When the character is given an action, but before it makes a close combat attack, it can break away automatically and move up to 2 squares.

You would give Stardust a power action to use CCE thus satisfying the requirement for lunge.

How can Stardust have Maneuver when it doesnt have a boot symbol?

Stardust has CCE on clicks 1-3, which helps the fig fill one of the requirements for Maneuver.
