The batman from AA has outwit and perplex. It says on his outwit that he can only counter standard and named powers. How is this different from normal outwit? THe only way I can think off is he cant outwit someone flying.
as far as i know it means he cannot outwit white SP's. Much like Rip Hunters SP that grants mini fortitude for adjacent characters' standard and named powers.
Yeah, somebody sure cut through that fence alright....

Not quite...
It is like Smudge said.
The only things you can counter with his Outwit are standard and named powers.
You cannot counter abilities like Carry or special powers.
(The difference between standard, named, and special powers are covered in the rulebook. Named powers are not special powers.)
What you said sounded (to me, at least) as if you were saying that the only things restricted by his powers were the special powers. That isn't the case. Not only is he unable to counter special powers, he is also unable to counter things like Flight.
