when you use "the price of knowledge", can you use probability on the roll required by that power? example: metron uses psychic blast. you roll a 1, (which would give him damage), then could you use pc (his own or someone elses)?

if so, he's a much more viable piece.

It's 'your roll on your turn', so yes.

Just like you can re-roll your 'Endurance' roll if you have PC available.
