Until you take you first "tokenable" action, it is still the being of your turn.
This is incorrect.
Taking a tokenable action has nothing to do with ending the beginning of your turn.
The moment that you do something which is not designated as being done "at the beginning of your turn" or "at any time during your turn" (anything without wording like this) the beginning of your turn is over.
I could conceivably use all of my tokenable actions and still not have gotten past the beginning of my turn.
Say I have three Poison Ivy figures. All are agents of Oracle with Oracle on the card. All have Poison. I could take a tokenable action with the first one to gain Outwit, Outwit an adjacent enemy's defensive power, and then use my Poison. I could then repeat that with the other two Poison Ivys. I'd have used up all of my non-free actions and would still be in the beginning of my turn.
That's actually pretty clever - despite people trying, I've never seen anybody pull off multi-activation of Oracle on the card in a single turn before. I foolishly thought that it was impossible for multiple figures to benefit from Oracle-granted powers in a single turn.
Could be nasty with this fellow:

Base opponents (ICWO close combat Defence to 21!), clear, and then Outwit/Poison away. The Society provides some degree of Outwit protection.

ICWO only gets the Clown Prince's Defence Value to 18, but Shape Change might mitigate that. Pushable, and has a lot of Charge (so knockback won't move the Poison away!) and becomes a close combat menace if he is damaged.
Mr Bones and the original Red Skull also share a keyword with Oracle (Politician) and have Poison, but aren't as playable. No hits for Birds of Prey, JLA, or Suicide Squad keywords, altough there may be a special power that I'm missing. There's a few Gotham Citizens with Poison, but many of the cheap ones are frnakly a bit carp.
Here's part of a team that could try this trick:
Oracle + Outwit + Poison
E The Joker - 85
.. + ICWO - 10
.. + The Society - 0
E The Joker - 85

U Oracle - 27 Total - 297 points
Play Darkness to restrict ranges to 6, Crosswinds/Poor Teamwork to negate taxiing advantages, and Disbanded if you don't like the opponent's TAs and he doesn't pack much Outwit. Thematic team advantages as well (not that it's what I consider a real thematic team).
It's not quite LAMP - no Lockjaw, Armour Piercing, or Mastermind - but it could be worth a try!
While we're talking Poison...because it's done as a free action it's an active effect, correct? In other words, I choose to deal Poison damage, or not to do so, or (most likely) forget to do so.
Yup. Once you've taken an action that isn't a "beginning of turn" effect, your window to activate Poison has closed.
Yeah, that seems to always surprise people: "but it's automatic, you're just supposed to take the damage!!" "Nope, you gotta remember to tell me to..."

Yeah, it differs from Mystics in this regard. (You have to say that you are giving the action in order to use Poison, but if I declare an attack on your Mystic and you don't tell me that Mystics is on, I still take the damage.)
Powers and TAs are on unless canceled.
In both cases, they were not canceled. The difference is that Mystics happens as the result of being attacked and taking damage. Poison actually needs to be activated by the Poisoner's controller.
(Now, forgetting to tell the guy to take his Mystics AFTER you click the dial and he moves on is a different story. )
