can a character (with flurry and 3 damage) use the first of his flurry attacks to destroy an adjacent wall and then with the second flurry attack actually attack the opposing character in the square beyond the wall?

You can.

it even better if you have a figure with charge and CCE or L/C so you can equip Lunge. you charge then lunge two squares to destroy the wall then lung two more to hit the opposing figure.

I've used this trick twice against unsuspecting opponents - first with R Wildcat and later with AA Zoom (who had his damage Perplexed up, of course)
