I got 3 boosters of CJ last weekend at WWE and both CJ promo figures. I have a DC 300 point tournament today and was putting a team together when I began to wonder if maybe I could use my new CJ and spice things up a bit.
Any info on if/when CJ is legal to play would be appreciated.
if its a smaller venue and everybody agrees i dont see why you cant use your figs as long as all agree
who knows they want to play against some of the pieces you own
its like playtesting ye thats it playtesting

Some people are like Slinkies . . . not really good for anything,
but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

I'm explicitly allowing CJ at my DC events as a house rule. I brought back a few unopened boosters of CJ from WWE and have been using this as prize support so that there are some figures in circulation in my area. It's fun if people have the chance to use them. It's not like the current DC LEs are especially valuable prizes which require stringent precautions against unfairness.
I'm also allowing players to use the Judge Dredd and Johnny Alpha promos in either Marvel or DC, with the 2000AD team considered to be a wild card. Again, this should add to the fun and won't be unfair as they were well-distributed here in London.
Are the dredd promos going to be tourney legal, like the two hulk promos (R and V Hulk from IC) or are they going to be treated like the promo batman and promo spidey?
Hulk was given away as a promo so he is a promo (although worth squat) while still in his bag as is the V given out in some cons last year. Thing I was curious about was: do they have promo on their base, thereby disallowing them from tourney play?

No, they are a regular rookie Hulk. Johnny Alpha and Judge Dredd say "Promo" on their base but, as the FAQ only disqualifies the word "Promotional", that's ok
