So after hearing about the latest casting news for the upcoming movie and watching a few episodes of the classic TV show I began to ponder which existing clix I could use to make a theme team?
As a quick refresher for everyone, there's Hannibal, Faceman, Howling Mad Murdock and B.A. Baracus. I think I'd like to stick to 300 points but I'm pretty stuck on which figs to use. I was thinking a brick dial would be perfect for B.A. but wasn't sure which would be best. Hannibal should have some leadership, and something else to represent him always being in costume. If I could use a piece with some range and outwit for Faceman, because of his cons from up close or from afar, it would again seem to make sense. As far as Murdock goes, I was thinking a perplexing flier to help with mobility and since he was the pilot of the group it would fit themematically. The perplex makes sense to me because of his unpredictable nature.
Now if only they had started making vehicles sooner, I could potentially even include the infamous van!!! Anyway, I'd love some help on which dials to use as I intend to try and do some mods for the sculpts!

I knew a guy who used Avengers Hulk dial(Avengers: the original A-team!) and a thug sculpt as a BA Baracas.
I suggest keeping with the Avengers dials/A - team theme.
Maybe Luke Cage for BA?
coming soon : nu52 Hercules

There really can't be any true substitute for BA until there is a character with a power called "Loves milk" or something similar.
That said, yeah, in a 300 point game any cheap-ish brick would be fine: AV Luke Cage, AA Frankenstein, MU Meik, MU Silver Savage... anything like that.
Okay, I've been thinking about this thread all day. First and foremost, the thought of an A-Team movie is very disturbing, even if they totally camp it up. (If they go the other way and make it crazy-killer, with people actually being hit by all those bullets, then that could be okay too.)
That being said, here's my recommendation for an A-Team-based 300 point team. Note: I went with some hefty figures points-wise and abilities-wise. You could make the case that the Vet Gotham Undercover would be a good Faceman; a useful TA, Stealth, and Shape Change. But I figured you would want to play a team of decent figures.
B.A. -- I would recommend Rookie She-Hulk from Supernova. Some Charge, some Super Strength, good base damage, Toughness and Combat Reflexes, all for 65 points. I just don't think B.A. deserves Invulnerability. (Of course, with the amount of ammunition that was fired on that show, and NO one ever got hit, every member of the A-Team would probably deserve a special power that was Impervious + Super Senses + Skrulls...)
Modding tips: Luke Cage with gold chains, a mohawk (Thug's head?), and a weightlifting belt is it. Paint his pants camouflage.
Alternate choice: Luke Cage, obviously.
Face -- I would recommend Vet Ant-Man from Supernova. While there are no appropriate Avengers with Shape Change, Ant-Man works pretty well -- some Perplex, some Stealth, some Super Senses and Incap to reflect being able to trick people with his master of disguise skill. Face usually carried a pistol, so the 4 range is appropriate. Through Alias on him for 3 points to give him a Shape Change roll.
Modding tips: A Gotham Undercover from Unleased is just about right. Take the badge away and make it a hand grenade or something.
Alternate choice: An SR Jarvis with the Skrull ability would reflect his ability to mimic others. That would be a lot of Outwit for Face, though.
Murdock -- I would recommend Rookie Hawkeye from Fantastic Forces. It gives Murdock a chance to fly something without having the ridiculously murderous abilities of the E or V. Plus, if memory serves, Murdock usually ended up with a machine gun, so the longer range and two targets makes sense for him.
Modding tips: If you can find a model ultra-light plane or ultra-light helicopter, that's it... the AA Street Thug has a good Murdock look.
Alternate choice: Two-Gun Kid would give Murdock the Transporter symbol, so he could carry someone.
Hannibal -- I would recommend Experienced Captain America from Armor Wars. The one click of Impervious can be explained away as Hannibal's excellent use of terrain for protection. The Leadership is obvious; the Exploit Weakness reflects Hannibal's hand-to-hand fighting skill (how else would you explain how an old man can keep taking out younger tougher guys?) The end-dial Outwit and Defend are both perfect for reflecting his tactical savvy. Hannibal often used a Mini-14, so the 6 range is good for him. He even has the Soldier keyword!
Modding tips: A Rip Hunter with a more modern rifle (like Silver Sable's) and white hair. Needs a cigar and gloves.
Alternate choice: Vet Captain America from Universe/IC.
The A-Team
R She-Hulk 65
V Ant-Man 81
+ Alias 3
R Hawkeye 61
E Captain America 90
Total: 300
Theme team: Avengers, +4 to map choice, 2 theme team PCs
I loved that show. And I've been thinking a different side for 300pts. Really I'd stick with the Soldier keyword:
Hannibal- Nick Fury SI, He has the Leadership, OW & Perplex to assist his team. Plus he's always chomping on a cigar.
B.A.- Seriously, I'd like to suggest Black Adam...but a better option would be Captain America from SI. He fits the strongman idea without being too powerful.
Face- I was really wanting to use a version of Hawkeye since O'le Clint has bagged as many women as Face. Being that none of Hawkeye's versions are Soldier I went with the reliable cannon Winter Soldier.
Murdock- Following the suggestion for a flyer with Perplex I came up with AV Falcon. Really no other reason.
Another fun idea would be the keyword Wrecking Crew for a higher point game.
WizKids GamePlay, "You can only play our game if you buy the new stuff. Those old figures are dirty and obsolete."
Record vs VGA d1sc1pL3: W-3 L-0
BA = SI Ben Grimm LE 100
Brute-ishness up front as well as Defend mid-dial to show him standing up for others.
Murdock - AA SR Joker 97
Focusing more on Murdock's supposed insanity. He was always "Poisoning" BA to get him on the plane. Also, he's done some imProbable and Perplexing things.
Hannibal - Dum Dum Dugan (Human or Skrull) 75
Human Dugan has the Leadersip, Skrull has the the Skrull TA to show his disguises at work.
Face - V Scourge 21
Well, I needed a cheapie to fit under 300 but this is pretty good. Stealth and Shape Change will do.
293 i think, 7 points for feats
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.
I must say i'm impressed with some of the ideas I've seen here. I actually am leaning towards a combo of a couple teams mentioned. The E AW Cap is just awesome for Hannibal; he also has the solider keyword in addition to his Avengers one. That would enable me to combine him with the SI Cap (perfect in my opinion for B.A.).
Then if I use the AVG Falcon piece for Howling Mad Murdock I get the flier with range and perplex I was looking for. That just leaves me needing a fig for Face - I'd love to hear ideas on that front from you guys!

I would say to stay under 100 points some figures that come to mind because of there dials.
Hannibal -
Nick Fury(either of the last 2)
Fantomex - a little expensive but he starts with outwit
Kristoff - has leadership and late dail outwit
Face
Crossbones - because of his late dial mind control
Winter Soldier - Spy keyword
Maverick - he has the spy keyword and the mid dail pb would be he that he manged to finesse his way into info so he knows how to bypass any defense powers.
Agent Brand - for the starting stealth and then push to outwit.
BA
Winter Soldier - SS on first few clicks
Punisher (SI) - just screams BA as he has shown up and sprayed an entire area down before.
Citizen V- His special power just screams BA in a brawl taking folks out.
Murdock-
Ch'p- because of his GL TA and for TK since it was not uncommon for Murdock to either fly them in or fly then out.
Jade - Legacy with GL TA
Hawkeye(flyer) - with avengers TA t-bolted to GL
A key thing to remember is to try and use only figures with the same keyword to get a theme reroll or 2. ICWO might also be helpful for the +1 can be used for what ever is needed at the time to make an attack hit , up your defense or even to increase damage.
Last but not least dont forget about these 2 characters. Either cheap pogs or low point figures.
Amy(reporter who was in the first 2 season)
Domino - much needed support
Adaline Wilson(pog)
Val Cooper
Frankie "Dishpan Man" Santana(he was only in the last season I think)
I think he was also a scam artist/someone who infiltrated but I dont remember about him so a cheap 19 pt thug may suit him as an extra body to fill out the team.
Space Phantom - someone to tie up your opponent.
"The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
Edmund Burke
So I scoured the keyword list for soldiers and here's what I came up with for Faceman: Vet Domino. The stealth is pretty obvious with regard to what happened on the show. The super senses give me the same benefit as shape change (not many soliders have that power) and honestly Face knew what was coming a lot of time because of his cons. Plus the prob control simulates his cons always turning things in the teams favor.
I know this is taking som liberties but it should work well. This puts me at 266 points with the figs I mentioned in my last post. With T-Bolts on Hannibal, Merc on B.A. so he can switch clix with Face via the X-Men TA and another 5 point feat I have 4 points left for a pog that can pose as Amy. I might try to divy up the 20 points that Merc would cost me and see what other benefits I could gain though.
