So, I was wondering about Thor and Odin's shared Trait.
SPECIAL: Thor (Odin) can use Super Strength.
Since it says can use Super Strength, may Thor (Odin) choose to use Super Strength on turn 1, pick up an object, then on a subsequent turn, choose not to use Super Strength and drop the object?
Normally, you may not cancel Super Strength while carrying an object, but this might allow them to.
SUPER STRENGTH When this character moves as part of a move action, power action, or free action, it can pick up an object as a free action and carry it. The object must be either in a square the character occupies or in an adjacent square. This character can use an object it picks up as a weapon. If this power is lost or countered while this character is holding an object, immediately put the object in the square this character occupies. This power can’t be canceled while this character is carrying an object. When this character makes a close combat attack targeting blocking terrain, a wall, or an object, modify its damage value by +2 for the attack; if the character is carrying an object when it makes the attack, remove the object from the game after the attack is resolved.
You can use SS. You don't have to use SS. By that I mean you don't have to pick up objects you pass by. But it has been ruled that once you have an object picked up you cannot choose not to use that SS no mater how you got SS (Trait, SP, normal, ect.)

Can you direct me to where you found that, as I did not see it in the Players Guide.

Thanks.
For that you'd need Harpua, Queb, or Normalview
I know that it originally was ruled that way for SPs like Big Barda and Mister Miracle. Then that ruling got expanded for traits as well. There's a good chance this was all hashed out on the old WK rules/judges forum and never made into the PG.

The rulebook is always a good place to start.
Page 13: "Holding an object. A character can hold only one object at
a time. A character can’t drop an object once it is held. To dispose of a
held object, the character must use it in an attack. If, however, a character
holding an object is defeated or loses the ability to use Super Strength,
the character automatically drops the object, which stays in the square the
character occupied when it was defeated or the power was lost. If there is
already an object in the square when an object is dropped, the dropped
object is removed from the game."
