Hey I have a few questions about the mastermind defensive ability.
1. If I mastermind damage to a character that has a power that reduces damage, is the mastermind damage reduced? (Does a character with invulnerability reduce mastermind damage that is transferred by 2?)
2. If damage is masterminded to a character with impervious, does that character get to roll a 5 or 6 to reduce damage to 0?
3. Can a character who has super senses roll 5 or 6 to evade transfer damage?
4. If mystics Loki masterminds damage from the attack, does the attacker still take mystic damage?
5. If I mastermind damage to a mystic, who takes feedback damage?
1 and 2, yes, the damage can be redueced.
3, I think the damage can be evaded.
4, I would imagine if the Mystic took no damage, no damage is dealt.
5, good question.
1. Yes, damage can be reduced if master minded onto someone with Inv or Toughness. Remember Master Minded damage is "dealt" to the master mindee.
2. Yes, Impervious states, "When damage is dealt to this character..." and Master Minding damage is "dealt" damage.
3. No. Super Senese states "when this character is hit by an attack..." and mastermind is not an attack.
4. Mystics only triggers when the mystic takes damage and since Loki, in this case, isn't pesonally taking the damage the mystics TA isn't triggered.
5. If I remember correctly the person taking the damage via mastermind, if a mystic, would have it's TA triggered and whomever generated the attack originally would take the feedback, for example Darkseid is shot by Superman and masterminds damage onto a mystic...Superman then takes a click of mystics feedback.

Respect is a given, only disrespect can be earned.
5 - Mystics reads "When this character takes damage from an attack, the attacker takes 1 damage. This damage is not an attack and cannot be reduced.", Mastermind ends with "Damage dealt by this power is not an attack."
So Mystics is not triggered at all when damage is Masterminded.
5 - Mystics reads "When this character takes damage from an attack, the attacker takes 1 damage. This damage is not an attack and cannot be reduced.", Mastermind ends with "Damage dealt by this power is
not an attack."
So Mystics is not triggered at all when damage is Masterminded.
Really?
1. Superman attacks Darkseid.
2. Darkseid, standing next to Nightshade, Masterminds the damage to Nightshade. Remember Mastermind "deals damage".
3. Has Nightshade taken damage from an attack?
4. Who originated the attack?
If you answered yes to 3 then answer 4.
Again, this isn't official, just my hypothesis. I can see both sides here though.
They key being "damage dealt by this power is not an attack".

1: yes.
2: yes.
3: No. No supersenses can be rolled. because the character getting damage transferred is not being attacked.
4: Nope. Loki needs to be damaged for his Mystics to kick in.
5: No one. Mystics needs to be the person hit by the attack that took damage.
As you said in yourself in answer to the Super Senses question - "mastermind is not an attack". It was true when checking if Super Senses is triggered and its true when checking if Mystics is triggered...
