I played Thorbuster with Nova Blast and Endurance.
I need a ruling:
Question:
On 1st or 2nd click - If Thorbuster multitargets Pulse Wave using Nova Blast, can I choose to not take pushing damage from the Nova Blast, instead putting an endurance token on the Endurance Card?
Also, if he is pushing to attack will he put one or two tokens on the Endurance card?
From my understanding of the wording, Endurance isn't Willpower or a team ability, so I don't see why you couldn't use it to defer damage from Nova Blast. Other than that, I don't know about the pushing and Nova Blasting together; I'd say one token if you're supposed to compound the pushing damage into 3 total.
I'm far from a final word on the matter, though. I don't know if there's been a ruling on either of these cards in regards to technicalities like this.
Remember that Endurance is a big gamble, since once you use it, every action you take after triggers the die roll, not just pushing actions.
Here's what the Player's Guide says about Endurance.
Quote
• One endurance token is placed on the card for each pushing
damage dealt to the character.
• There are many feats that deal pushing damage as a cost for
using it – Endurance can be used to prevent that damage as
well – one token is placed on the card for each pushing
damage dealt.
So if you are pushing for Nova Blast, you put three tokens on the card.
• A card is considered “assigned" if the character is (a) the character chosen for the “choose a character” feats or (b) it meets the prerequisites of a feat that is not “choose a character”
• When a power action is given to remove a thwart token, the feat will only return after the power action has completed.
• Once a feat has a Thwart token, the only way to remove that token is to (a) give a qualifying character a power action to remove it or (b) use Thwart against the character who caused the Thwart token to be placed (placing a Thwart token on their Thwart card). If the original Thwarter is KO’d or loses the prerequisites for this feat, then the Thwart token(s) remain on the target cards.
• If an alternate team ability (such as Legionnaires) gets a Thwart token, all of the affected characters would have their natural team ability while the feat is thwarted.
• A player can choose the Thwart their own feats.
• If a feat with a Thwart token has tokens on it from its normal affect, like with Endurance, those tokens would remain on the card while the Thwart token is on the card (and remains on it when the character takes a power action to remove the Thwart token).
The 2 above points mean that you can Thwart your own Endurance Card and until an action is taken to remove it by the charcter, the Endurance card would not be rolled and no more tokens could be applied.

Correct.
The downside, though, is that now your character will take pushing damage normally. If you want to not take pushing damage, you'll have to remove the Thwart token and risk the Endurance damage.
However, if you just want to avoid the initial damage from Nova Blast, you're fine.
Given what the initial 4 damage did to the Warriors Three when I Nova Blasted them with Thorbuster, not being able to push would certainly be worth it.
