I dont know if this has been answered yet but, if some one use a running shot and pulse wave combo can they damage Heimdall if he has his special power SIGHT TO THE NINE WORLDS?
SIGHT TO THE NINE WORLDS: Characters using Charge, Running Shot, or Hypersonic Speed deal no damage to Heimdall. Heimdall ignores other characters Shape Change and Stealth.

are you sure? wouldn't the power action from running shot activate heimdall's power before pulse wave would ignore it? pulse wave by itself may ignore it, but it seems to me heimdall's power is triggered when you start the running shot. running shot is worded: give this character a power action, halve it's speed value for the action. move this character up to it's replacement speed value and give it a ranged combat action as a free action. it seems like you activate running shot to do a pulse wave, once running shot is activated, wouldn't heimdall ignore everything else? not trying to argue, just want to make sure i get the right info to pass on.
Heimdall does not "ignore everything else". Running Shot itself does no damage, but the combo with Pulse Wave does exactly what we all know and love Pulse Wave for, ignoring powers including Heimdall's.
again, not trying to argue, just wondering if there's a timing issue. does running shot happen first, or the same time as pulse wave, if it happened first just wondering if it triggers heimdall's sight of nine worlds, just trying to get the facts straight. i guess it just sounds weird, because it's never comes up where i play, and when most people use a move and attack power when i play heimdall i usually warn them, that it won't do damage in case they might want to do something else.

Reason: misspelling

This has been asked before.
It comes down to what would prevent the damage? The power
Is the power there to prevent the damage? No
Looking for the thread where this was originally answered.
i did read it. like i said, not trying to argue, just want to make sure i get the right info. it's not uncommon for one person to just spew out what they think is right, and then the next person, and the next. in fact the next thing i was going to post, before you quoted yourself, was that i was glad i found this out since i've been using heimdall fairly often, and now i'll know why it works this way so i can tell everyone else at the venue where i play, but hey quote yourself a couple more times if it makes you feel better, i'll pretend i didn't read it. in fact read what? thank you everyone else for being helpful and understanding.

This is one of those "it's not the gun that kills you, it's the bullet" arguments right? Well unless you died by being beaten to death with a gun.
Powers are not actually used until the requirements are met. In Heimdall's case, its not the RS that activates the power, its the damage dealt as a result of RS. Because PW ignores powers (and TA's) when damage is dealt, it will ignore Heimdall's SP.
In fact, even if you argue that Heimdall's SP activates due to RS (which it doesn't), PW would still ignore it. All said and done Sight to the Nine Worlds is a (special) power. PW ignores all powers and TA's. Why is this case any different? I don't care if the power states you ignore damage from RS, PW states that I can ignore that fact. Unless you have something that can trump PW's description, PW wins. So you willl get PWn'ed

What you are trying to say here is what most people like to say: "I want an ORANGE TINT to rule in this" before I accept it as right.
well, guess what-Maraud and SLVRSR4 are correct. Pulse Wave IGNORES POWERS... It does not matter if RS was used first, PW ignores the power.
I RS Heimdal and use PB or Charge and use BCF, PB and BCF do nothing because his power states Charge and RS do nothing. BUT, PW overrides the SP and ignores ANY POWER (including special POWER) on the figure.
I hope this helps
No rest until the great works of Anthony Edward Stark are in clix forms
Soon...his works will be realized... in 2013 the Hall of Armor in clix!
no, what i was trying to say was what i said. i want to get the facts straight so when this happens where i play, i know how to explain it. that's all. i got what i needed, and i thought i was done.
