I've been looking for some clarification of the Skyscraper map info, One question in particular is what happens if I know someone into an area where I am blocking all 9 squares around the stairway? I heard someone say once that they will die, but I am not sure.
If they die, I will definitely be tempted to abuse this with The Flashes, moving the entire opponent's team into the open air and some grunts from my team to the stairwell!

No, there is no instant kill.
I don't think the special rules for that map cover not being able to place a character in a stairway; I don't have my copy handy to double-check.
So, of the cuff, I'd say place the character as close to the stairway as you can.
speaking of said map... Open air being what it is, ARE the rooftops considered to be in fact, elevated terrain for the purposes of Batman's Among the Gargoyles, not to mention Wasteland?
"A" is "A". And no matter what universe he's from, Luthor... is Luthor.

No. Elevated terrain is surrounded by red lines.
The whole map is grounded terrain... it just so happens that some of that grounded terrain has special rules associated with it (OPEN AIR in the orange lines).

Wasteland?
bah. you're thinking to small.
Skyscrapers man.
turns all elevated into blocking.
means you can only stand in the open air spaces.
all non-fliers are dead.
or it would if any of the squares on the map were elevated.
but they aren't, as normalveiw points out.

Play Skyscrapers on the LoSH HQ map for some real fun.
