Just a guess here, but it was common knowledge that NECA/WK was giving those away at a Gaming retailer's con. A little different than an OP kit that states it is not for re-sale.

I think the ones you mentioned can be had at some con. Maybe GAMA, I'm not sure. As to the OP, he specifically states that it was from a prize pack and these were not street legal till today.

BTW, what auctions were you talking about? It certainly was not here on the realms, was it?

I haven't been part of a forum yet that didn't have double standards and people abusing power, why should this site be any different?

Chime in time here....I am the one who originally wrote the rules for the Trade Forums here at HCREALMS.

Professor you were breaking the rules. You were trying to trade something before release without a pre-release. Somewhere along the line someone broke a rule and Diamond/Alliance should be held accountable by WizKids, but that is their deal.

Secondly, you broke a rule with the figures. There is NO WAY you went to three different events and won three different figures to have the LE's in hand. Things may be running different at WizKids lately with no Competitive Play, but I am happy to see morales and ethics taking place here on the realms.

yeah, I don't happen to think what he was doing was ok, but the double standard going on wasn't fair either.

Agreed- there are morals and ethics on both sides here, IMO.

At this point there is nothing that can be done. It is release time and everything is going to be flooded. At this point I think it should be handled by PM between Prof and Phantalien because we can nit pick this to death. I think the trade and sale threads upseting me are the "____ BATB LE or Prize Pack" I think it should be a week per LE, but that is me.

why the hate towards selling LE's? Wizkids new model is to "sell" them to the stores with a certain amount of purchase. After that its pretty much up to the store what they want to do with them. Some stores follow Wizkids "suggested" tournament to the letter, some have a massive Midnight release and give away all their prizes that night. So whats wrong with a store that doesn't want to hold tournaments passing on the prize support to customers who make brick or case purchases? What if a player/collector has no stores near him that hold tournaments so he goes to a LCS and asks the store owner if he would be willing to order him the two or three cases of clix that is required to get the prize pack and the prize pack as well for him. The player pays for the entire package plus the store owners mark up, shouldn't he have the right to sell off the extra? I don't get where people are getting so high and mighty over people selling the LE's? The system has changed, Wizkids is no longer mailing them out to stores free of charge for specific tournaments, they are selling them to stores after a required amount of clix cases have been purchased. People need to stop trying to police things that Wizkids themselves aren't even worried about.

I agree with this.

However I still don't think that anything from the set should really be sold before the actual release date.

But I also agree with rock, it may be best to leave this to PM's between Phant and shananigans at this point.
