Does MM trigger the trait? It doesn't say the attack has to target him, just that he must be dealt damage from an attack.

It shouldn't. He'd be getting dealt damage by Mastermind.

Like PaxZRake said, it would not. Damage dealt by Mastermind is not from an attack.
