I was looking at the rulebook and reading about how super strength can be cancelled, and yet the object carried by the character is not dropped. I was wondering, if you cancelled super strength and denied yourself the damage boost when attacking walls because you already had 3 damage on your dial, if the object would get burned up in the attack. The idea is to be able to break down a wall, without torching the object, but without needing range.
Super Strength is not required to use an object in an attack. Any time you are carrying an object and make a close combat attack, the object will be used.

Or when you perform an attack that would deal no damage. Neither of which is happening here.
Correct. i was just trying to point it out since "quaking against multiple adjacent enemies" is a probable for "Any time"

I just read the rulebook. It specifies that the object must be used in an attack made against a single target opposing character. It says nothing about it being used against a wall... is there some other errata? I mean, this is a general misconception that the object must be used against a wall if I'm reading this right. Page 18 of the player's handbook, bottom left column Where it says "Using an object in a close combat attack". That first line is the requirement, but I've found nothing about walls or attacking terrain.
