Score: 40%. Not great. For 82 points, I want starting Super Strength (to make him a 2nd-string attacker), or starting Poison (to make him a swarm killer) or 8 clicks of Toughness (to make him a long-lasting tie-up piece). Not this weak sauce with a short lifespan, a virtual activation click, and good damage values ruined by low attack numbers. He's totally shamed by Iron from Crisis.
At 70 points, he'd be boring but playable. At 82, he stinks on ice. Not Brother Blood stink maybe, but still unusable.

Molten Man's dial is not bad. He has 3 damage throughout, starts with charge, and has poison. He defense should have a 16 on click 4. The problem is the cost. The figure should cost between 55 and 65, or add a click or two.

I think MM doesn't have a team ability because he always jumped the line between friend and villain. One day he fought Spider-man, the next he is helping him fight the Green Goblin.
I kind of wondered the same thing too, but this would make sense.
Some of my favorite powers ever, but his dial is just a little too short and his stats are just a little too low. A little boost to his attack, or defense, or damage, or to the length of his dial would make him really good, but he's rarely the best choice as is.

He just plain awesome. Why? He's friggin' Molten Man people! I mean, he appeared in almost EVERY booster that my brother bought, but hey! He is THAT awesome. Am I right? No? Of course!

So I can tell everybody dislikes Molton mans dial for 80+ points. Honestly....I like him! With the new ruled to plasticity he now becomes a master tie up piece for three different reasons.....he can ALWAYS do damage no matter the reducer. He has poison to help enhance his damage and he has a good amount of reducers. These reasons are excluding the fact that he has plasticity which is THE premiere power for tie ups. I always try and look for every figures strong point....this figures strong point? Always able to crack through reducers with 3 damage all the way down his dial. Charge inflated his points by 20. He actually doesn't need it...but at least he can charge in without worrying about picking up an object and knowing he will at least deal one damage!
