Keep in mind tho, Munch, that while those 15 have been part of DC History, how many other DC figures out there have yet to even be made, and yet they insist on two batmen, two supermen and two wonder women in this set.. BEFORE we go and include white lanterns.
I see absolutely no issue with having both Golden and Modern Age versions of DC's flagship characters. Folk need to remember that every set is aimed at two demographics; current players and potential players. Simply put, including highly visible and well-known characters drives the game moreso than including "johnny-come-obscure" simply to please a subset of fans.
The White Lanterns are their own subset of DC75, with their own numbering, so I hardly subscribe to the notion that the set proper is diminished in any way by their inclusion in boosters.
I also fail to see what is gained by ever getting into the "but 'so-and-so' hasn't been made yet discussion". We all have our favorites, we all have those characters we feel are most deserving to be included in the game, and we all (at least once) have wondered how one character made it in while a personal fave didn't.
Folk need to get over it. Despite protests and declarations of "Remake!", DC75 presents us with close to 30 new characters, while the remakes themselves have either been long-championed or are updated versions of characters we have not seen for quite some time.

Again, I have no control over what folk choose to take issue with.

Respectfully, your point? I think we'd be hard pressed to find any HeroClix fan who couldn't do the same.
All this really boils down to is that we each have our own ideas as to what should be in a set. At the end of the day though, the set is what the set is (and as a longtime HeroClix and comics fan, I am quite pelased with it overall).

I would be happy to see some more "New Gods-love" in Heroclix. That said, as I understand it DC is placing the New Gods on a high shelf and want to take a break from using them in the DCU for a while (and after Final Crisis, I can't say I blame them ). With that in mind, I can see how it will be a while before we can reasonably expect to seem them in Clix.

It is DC's 75th, and I do see the point of remaking (yet again) some of main heroes, but I am sure glad they decided in making a bunch of the more current storyline characters. I think the vast majority of comic book fans would rather have more of the current storyline characters rather than that of an 18th Superman, or their 12th Batman, or whatever. What's happening now in comics is far more influencial than some of the stories from 75 years ago... this set is in tribute to 75 years of DC comics... not just the LAST 75 years. And Lantern Corps are all the rage right now.... this set is perfect!!
This figure looks very solid and definitely playable for the points. The power set makes it a threat to power pieces as well as swarm teams, which makes it a great centerpiece to build around. Honestly, he'd probably be worth those points even without the Indomitable Defense, but with it he's just great. He turned out even better than I'd hoped. I often feel as if I could do a better job creating clix dials than WK for a lot of these figures, but on this guy they made it better than I would have. Excellent job on this on WK!
Let's Play "Whoizzit?"
My Avatar is an as-yet-un-clixed character. If you know who it is, be the first respondant to correctly identify this character I'll send you some free rep!
I can't speak to what you choose to take umbrage at. I can say however that 15 of 60 figures does not "overtake" a theme, particularly when those 15 figures are part of the the last 75 years of DC history.
Are you counting the one per brick White Lanterns? I consider that taking over a set.

Now you're just being silly.
Regardless, I am content to disagree with your conclusions.

As long as he gets up close quick.. Leave IM some range shots and he might be in trouble.
Ha ha yeah... lets say Atrocitus somehow gets in close (evading Iron Man's 12 RS, which is tough if we're talking 1v1).
He hits IM for 6 with a heavy, putting him on.... outwit and FREE FORCE BLAST. Against a 0charachter. Now I can outwit charge and FB the s#!& out of you, all while attacking. How do you even get an attack in?

Position yourself so that you cannot be knocked back, of course.
Regardless of Map I'm talking players of even playing and team building skill. Range dominates and that's a simple fact. Atrocitus is a threat, but if your comparing his ability to win a fight against a character with RS, far superior range and Indomitable, Atrocitus is at a severe disadvantage and, as I said, all things being equal, he will lose.
As far as Map choice, Iron Man also has the advantage of superior keywords and more viable theme capability.
