Hey, I was just wondering what would happen with SI Nick Fury's L.M.D. if Fabian used his Power Amplification and hit a 4 or 5. Would Nick be able to reduce the damage? And if he can, can he then be placed in a corner?

L.M.D.: Nick Fury can use Mastermind. When Nick Fury is dealt damage, you can reduce the damage by 2. If you do, after the attack resolves immediately put Nick Fury in an unoccupied square in the corner of the map (or as close to the corner as possible) that does not share an edge with the starting area used by Nick Fury.

POWER AMPLIFICATION: Fabian Cortez can use Perplex, but he can target only other friendly characters. When he uses perplex, roll a d6. On a result of 1-3, Perplex is used normally. On a 4 or 5, the chosen combat value is modified by +2 or -2 and the target is dealt 2 damage at the end of the turn. On a 6, the chosen combat value is modified by +3 or -3 and the target is dealt 1 unavoidable damage at the end of the turn.

It's damage dealt, so Nick should be able to reduce it and relocate.

If you roll a 6 for Cortez's SP and thu deal him 1 unavoidable damage, could you choose to use his SP to relocate him nonetheless ?

No. You cannot reduce unavoidable damage.

YeAh but would the attempt to reduce the damage trigger the relocation?

No reduction, no movement.

But if I attack him with Psychic Blast, he will relocate. And yet, damage are not reduced either. What's the difference ?

When Nick Fury is attacked by Psychic Blast, he cannot be relocated.

From the Player's Guide:
In order to be relocated, Nick Fury must reduce the damage by 2. Since Psychic Blast deals penetrating damage and penetrating damage cannot be reduced, Nick Fury cannot reduce the damage by 2 so he cannot relocate.
