This guy had his army on top of a dirt hill on the Outdoor Map #2 and he said that it was considered both hidering and blocking terrain. In that he gets to be on top of the hill (like the roof of a building AND his people with steath are invisible to range attack. Is this true?

Also He said that his guys had full range and my guys had to cut there range in half in order to hit him. Is this true?

as far as i know there is no elevated terrain dirt hill and your friend was trying to pull a fast one on you. hindering terrain it may be but definitely not blocking.

If it is an outdoor map, AND the referenced dirt-pile has a thick black line around it, It should be elevated blocking terrain. Not hindering terrain.

Actually, it is simply elevated terrain, not hindering terrain.

And you only cut your range in half when targeting soaring figures, not elevated figures.

Well he was saying that it was considered both hindering and blocking. So his guys with steath were invisible to range combat and all of his guys since they were "on top" of the dirt hill (that did have a thick black line around it) it cut all my guys range in half.

That dirt hill is only elevated terrain.

No, that can't be right. The only time you cut your range in half is when you're trying to hit a soaring character.
