This came up in a game the other night, and there was some general confusion:
The PAC says of Mind Control "A successfully hit target becomes friendly to your force...each target hit can be assigned one action as a free action immediately after which the target becomes an opposing character again".
Ragdoll's "WON'T LET GO" power reads: "Whenever an opposing character adjacent to Ragdoll is given a move or power action, after actions resolve, you may place Ragdoll in any square adjacent to that character."
Here's the scenario:
- I am controlling Ragdoll, who is based with an opposing character.
- I use Mind Control to move the opposing character.
- After that movement, does Ragdoll get placed next to that character?
Since the character was not opposing to my force when it was given the action, it wouldn't seem that Ragdoll's SP would be triggered. However, since Ragdoll's SP effect is resolved AFTER the action, I'm a little confused.
Won't Let Go: Whenever an opposing character adjacent to Ragdoll is given a move or power action, after actions resolve, you may place Ragdoll in any square adjacent to that character.
That bolded part right there is what actually triggers this power. The "after actions resolve" part only tells you when the triggered power would do whatever it is that it is supposed to do.
Since the MC'd character is not actually opposing when it is given the action to move, then Ragdoll's special power won't activate.

Thanks! That's what I thought - too bad Ragdoll couldn't hitch a free ride, but it's nice to know what's right!
My mind controller (M) controls my opponents Hulk (H). I want to move Hulk to D. Hulk is now friendly to my team and opposing to Ragdoll (R). Hulk successfully rolls breakaway and can now move to D. I would say that Rag-Dolls power would activate and the owner of Rag-doll could choose to place her / him next to Hulk.

Pretty much everything / anything about general heroclix is here.

If Ragdoll is an opposing figure (not yours) then yes. If that is your Ragdoll, then no.
