Okay, from what I understand is that if you are holding an object while using super strength and you make any close combat attack you must use the object. For instance when the Rampaging Hulk uses his full movement-quake power and you are holding an object you still waste the object even if you didn't "use" it. So, now my actual question is: let's say there is this hypothetical character that has both BCF and super strength on the same click. This character is currently holding an object due to super strength. This character now makes a close combat attack against an opposing character. Do you have a choice to use BCF without wasting the object?

Any clarification or advice would be appreciated.
For starters if you make an attack against more than 1 Character while holding an object, the object is not used.
You can use B/C/F but the object will still be used, and will not affect the D6 roll since the value will be locked.
Now the property's of the object would still go through, so if it was say the lamp post, a token would still be placed.
And in that example (BCF against a single opposing character), you must use the object. Which is a waste unless it is a special object with some property to be applied during the attack like Maraud said.
This was asked back when BatB came out. Metallo was the only figure to have this overlap, I think.
Ruling was that if your object had a special function, it would then apply. So you could make a BCF roll with the lamp post, and the target would get an extra token if hit. Or if you used the fuel tank, it would act as an EE blast on adjacent opposing characters as well as the main target.

The Fuel Tank affects all characters (friendly and opposing) adjacent to the target of the attack. If used in close combat, it will affect the attacker since the attacker is adjacent to the target.
