I played him with the most recent captain america, and heimdal against a the earth lanterns minus kyle, deadshot, and saint walker. The only person atrocitus could not hit was saint walker! Had to laugh at that and my opponent did too!
Always try to leave an internet argument at lvl 1!
Anyone else love this figure? hes a big personal favorite, i use him in 2 out of every 3 games, and its not just because im a huge Red-Lantern Corp fan! ;-)
...His special power is very difficult to pull off and requires your opponent to position poorly to use much of the time...
Read his SP carefully. My pal pointed out to me something that makes the SP a little better. It doesn't say he has to hit a character. He can hit a wall, blocking terrain, or an object and then reposition to hit an opposing.
@Deepshock: It does say he has to attack a character. I guess he could initially attack an object/wall then a character, but that sounds a little iffy to me.
@kirbunkle: That's what I'm saying. Read my last comment carefully. I know that the second attack has to be on a character, but where in "whenever Atrocitus hits with an attack," does it say he has to attack a character? Iffy? No. If he is supposed to hit a character to initiate the move and second attack then it would say so like this: "Once per turn, whenever Atrocitus hits an opposing character with an attack..."
New changes to Battle Fury make this guy even more of an unstoppable killing machine than he already was. Now you don't even get to incap him to slow him down, and shapechange won't save you anymore, either.
He's equally at home taking on another brick mano a mano, or a roughing up a swarm with his SP and poison. Oh, how I love this piece!

The attack a wall, move in, attack a character trick is amazing in gameplay. Nothing makes your opponent (expletive deleted) their pants quite like a growling, sadistic Kool-Aid Man busting through your wall, dialing back your damage reducer, and taking a bite out of your (expletive deleted) face.
Why Wizkids, WHY!? Having Atrocitus at 202, Guy Gardner at 110 and Blackest Night Mera at 85, that makes a Red Lantern theme team at 397... the problem, the Red Lantern object is 5 points, so making a dead on 400 point team was totally screwed by 2 points...nice planning.
