One more question on Duos. If you roll double ones or hit a mystic on your first shot do you continue with your duo attack before you click the figure or would you click the figure and be able to continue the attck on the next click?

That damage is taken immediately. If the figure can still use the Duo Attack, then the second attack uses the new stats.

The click of damage is applied immediately, before the second attack is made.
I used Sidestep+Infiltrate on ThorandLoki yesterday and they dominated. Without those two cards, I doubt they would've gotten much done. With them, though, they were never further down the dial than their second click.
We did have a question come up, though. When moving with Sidestep, can you carry? And if so, do you get -2 to the number of squares Sidestep lets you move?

I'm going to say no. For the most part Sidestep is similar to Lunge, and with Lunge you CAN carry. (I don't like that, but I don't make the rules.)
The difference I see is in how Carry is worded.
"When moving as a result of being given an action, this character can carry..."
With Lunge, the movement is activated by being given the action from the close combat attack.
With Sidestep, though, while the movement happens during the power action, I do not see it as being "the result of" that action.
That's just how I'd rule it. (Perhaps that's biased because I don't think you should be able to carry during Lunge either.)

If you can carry, the -2 would only affect you if it brings your actual speed value below 2.
I know this is an old post but i found this thread while trying to find an answer for another question. reading this thread made me want to ask the question if NOW that the 2011 PAC came out can you combine BCF with the duo attack and would you just subtract 1 from the second BCF roll? In the new PAC BCF requires a close combat attack

BLADES/CLAWS/FANGS When this character is given a close combat action, you may roll a d6 after making a successful attack roll. The result replaces this character’s damage value, then that damage value is locked.
Nothing has changed. BCF is still activated when you give the character a close combat action, not an attack.
