Something happened today in a tournament that I'd like to clarify about theme PC tokens and applying pushing damage. I'm sorry if this has been answered before and if so, could you point me to it, please?
Anyway, this was the situation.
One player has a themed team and a figure with an action token. The figure is attacked and chooses to use the theme PC reroll getting another token.
When is the pushing damage applied?
-At the very moment the figure takes the token, i.e., prior to the second attack,
or
-At the end of the action, i.e., after the attack resolves?
On page 7, the first sentence of this heading ends: "… deal one pushing damage to that character after actions resolve."
Turning this part of the rulebook into:
PUSHING
When a character recieves a second action token (usually because it has taken an action on two consecutive turns), deal one pushing damage to that character after actions resolve. Game effects that evade, reduce, ignore, or transfer damage do not affect pushing damage unless the effect specifically says it does.
So the character who used theme PC won't push until after the action is resolved.
I didn't think you could use theme team PC if you had a token. Not sure though.
I think you are confusing this a tad. A character can't use theme PC if it has already taken an action this turn (even a free action). However, having a token will not necessarily prevent using theme PC.
Your turn is your turn. Your opponent's turn is a different turn from your turn. None of your pieces have taken actions during an opponent's turn, so are readily available for theme team PCs.

Is the rulling on the pushing damage for theme prob different now that pushing damage is takes as actions resolve?
"He's Predator Smurf! Not Happy Smurf or Gleeful Smurf or even PMSing Smurfette! He's Predator Smurf! What kind of attitude do you think he's gonna have?" -Songwriterz-

No. They still won't push until after everything, action-wise, is all said and done.
The only thing that has changed is that if there are any game effects that occur after action(s) resolve, then the pushing would occur before those effects.
