I suppose it takes some skill to use your instrument to intentionally create noise and feedback, but that doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy listening to it. Right there, that gives CAFO the default win. I did enjoy parts of the CAFO song's guitar work though, so I don't want that to come across quite as negatively as it may have sounded.
Maybe I just didn't get it but CAFO didn't do anything for me, just more metal guitar that wasn't helped by a drummer that couldn't keep time in a clock store.
I am going with the innovators of art rock and a song that shows both their melodic and distortion heavy sides.

That other....thing....was just painful. The ability to pluck notes at a high rate of speed does not necessarily equivocate to the ability to create music. And that drummer - omg - what song was he playing? (I know, I know - its not Drummer Wars TOC, but still, it was like two separate, non-complementary pieces of music being played simultaneously.)
May all your hits be crits!
On the whole, human beings want to be good — but not too good, and not quite all the time. - George Orwell

WOW. Just...WOW. This contest is going to make me broke. I don't have time to type, I'm going to go listen to CAFO again. Who nominated that? I want to rep them.
