Is Batman weaker?

I posted this on the other forum and someone said I should post it here. With the new rules does Batman still have stealth when standing in an edge square of a building on elevated terrain?

“A grounded character can make a ranged combat attack targeting an elevated character if the only blocking terrain the line of fire crosses is in the square the target occupies. Line of fire from a grounded attacker is not blocked by grounded blocking terrain or other characters. Do not apply the hindering
terrain modifier to attacks made by grounded attackers against elevated targets, unless the terrain
occupies the same square as the target”

“Kabuki, Batman: Any line of fire drawn to this character that passes through hindering terrain, including the square that this character occupies, is treated as though it has been drawn
through blocking terrain.”

The usual tactic is to put an object on the corner of the elevated building and put batman in the square so he can control the centre of the board. Reading the above it would seem he can be targeted with ranged attacks from grounded characters as you ignore “ is in the square the target occupies”?

This was dealt with in the old rule set, that line is only meant to referr to the edge of the building. If there's an object under batman he still get's his precious stealth.

Should it not say “ is the square the target occupies”
rather than “ is *in* the square the target occupies”?

It should, it doesn't, but it's the exact same wording as before. That sentence hasn't changed at all.

Batman(R,E) is the best power/price piece in the game now. For reasons stated above, and he no longer has to worry about a bruser getting taxied in and taking a punch, nor a Supes team member being taxied in a taking a shot. Batman gets a free shot on these folks, or gets to runaway(reposition) himself. ALSO!!!!!! He now gets to use CCE and Willpower together. Batman - don't leave for the tourny without him.

Unless you are using Superman!

and now... with dual shot rules..... batman can spread that 3 damage into two figures instead of having each dual shot reduced to 1.

Also, same with nightwing.. but nightwing doesn't have the CCE/willpower with him.... better stats and range but batman comes out with more stuff from the new rules.
