Hey everyone. I am reading all this new stuff on these new rules, and there are two things I need help clarifying:
1) Running Shot and Charge with RCE and CCE: What I don't understand is, people are saying that you still can't use Running Shot with RCE and Charge with CCE. Why not? In the new PAC, it says that no powers can be used to increase this character's damage value or damage clicks. So, why can't you use RS and Charge with them? If you can use Willpower, Perplex (on the AV only) and other powers, why not them?
2) Smoke Cloud: Can you now put a smoke cloud onto spaces that have figures on them (including your team mates, your opponents, and the figure with smoke cloud)?
2: SC says that you can put the smoke tokens 'anywhere' within your range. This includes on other hindering terrain, water, and under other characters...

You cannot give more than one action to a character in a single turn unless a power or ability specifies otherwise. None of these powers allow for another power action as part of that power.
2) Smoke Cloud: Can you now put a smoke cloud onto spaces that have figures on them (including your team mates, your opponents, and the figure with smoke cloud)?Currently, according to all the rules and rulings I have seen, that seems to be the case. There will probably be a ruling on this soon...at least the barrier portion.
"Running Shot: GIve this character a power action. It may move up to half its speed value and then make one ranged combat action as a free action."
Is there a rule against giving a character 2 power actions? I don't think so: we can Charge and use Super Strength at the same time. So, why can't we declare a power action of RS, then declare another power action of RCE and then use our free ranged combat action? I'm still thinking it might be legal.
Gotcha on the Smoke Cloud. It sounds legal, but the FAQ I'm sure will settle the debate. Thanks to all for the speedy replies!
Okay, I posted the above post before darius_dax1 replied. Thanks everyone for clearing this all up.
Sigh...I was really hoping Iron Man would have become the greatest figure in the game. How ironic would that have been: the fig once laughed at comes back with a vengance!
As darius_dax1 said first off cant use two power actions in one turn.
Also a range attack and close combat attack is far far different then a power action. You are not given a Power action and a range or close combat attack can not be used for a power action. It is not legal any way you put it.
Just to clarify a bit: Using an object in an attack with SS in not, in itself, an action of any kind. It is used in conjunction with either a ranged or close combat attack. that is why you can use objects with RS or Charge....
