I have several mentioned and have been back-collecting since my mom convinced me to sell all my 50's and 60's comics in a yard sale in the 70's (the 50's and 60's comics were given to me by my much older cousins). I still have a few, but none are minty fresh, even the ones I have re-bought. So I'll go modern and say my Ult. Spider-Man #1 (unread, unopened). Evidently the shop owner had no idea what a retailer incentive was and he put it on the shelf. I wasn't even gonna buy any of this Ultimate Universe crap and I didn't know it was special either. I just liked it because there were probably 3 or 4 each with red or blue covers, so I picked up one that had the white cover because I thought it was really nice looking opposed to the others. And put it in a box when I got home(the shop always bagged and boarded all comics before putting them on the shelf). A few years later I "re-discovered" it and checked it out on e-bay. I guess I need to get it graded because I will never open it myself, as I bought the trades for my son and read it like that.

That shop owner was weird and I think on drugs and when I told him about it one day those few years later,after he knew what it was, he got very mad at me. I haven't been back to that shop since, but I think its closed down anyway.

So on an impulse buy I got a really nice rare version of a book I wasn't even interested in.

I have every comic Jubilee has ever appeared in, including a sealed 9.6 UXM #244. I have another copy of #244 signed by artist and writer.

The problem is no one else would think of them as valuable, lol
