Cap's SP
DEFLECTION TRAJECTORY: Captain America's line of fire is blocked only by walls and indoor blocking terrain.
Maxwell's Trait
ERASED MYSELF FROM YOUR MINDS: Lines of fire drawn to Maxwell Lord by opposing characters are blocked unless he's taken damage from an opponent's attack this game.
Since its not a wall or indoor blocking and thats the only thing Cap's line of fire is blocked by, now. Throw that shield all day.
Initiative members with no Butterball?! I call shenanigans! Make Butterball!
Super Apes: Mikhlo KO List: HoT Thor x2 BatB Shazam! and Black Adam
I think the trait would override the SP. Both override normal rules, would this be a coin flip issue?
No, it is not a coin flip.
As already stated, Deflection Trajectory is very specific about what can block Cap's LOF. Maxwell's trait is not one of those things, so Cap can shoot Maxwell as much as he likes.
Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but in instances like this, if a specific is named, (like in Cap's SP) it overrides a blanket ability, (Like Max's trait)?
Clearing out all my D.C. H/W current. All haves for trade. Lots of generic figures.

Generally, yes. The specific wording would be important, though.
For example, Invisible Woman from Secret Invasion has a special power which prevent LOF from being drawn, period. It doesn't block anything; you can't even try to draw LOF to her. In that case, Deflection Trajectory is useless since there is no blocking of LOF occuring.
