I am in a 500 point tourney tomorrow (I do not win very much...but I love the game)

I am an avid DC player...but of course I own the Marvel Clix also

This is my first Marvel tourney

I know to put R Destiny and R Black Cat on my teams...but...could you help me fill the team upto 500 and also give me some advice on how to play it?

Unique IC Elektra is good for a cheap BFC person
Also put in a good range attacker, in a 500 point you could easily put a Bullseye and then a Cyclops, Klaw or Firelord, Storm
Also a good brawler like Abomination, She- Hulk, Doc Sampson etc...
Aside from that you might want a Medic, some Perplex and even a Tie up piece or two like Quicksilver, Doc Ock and Scorpion (that way in a 500 point game you might be able to hold down one of their big pieces or a medic for a turn or two).
Taxies or some TK for your characters.
Good luck, I know I'm not VAS but until one of them comes along you can at least start putting something together.

My bad I forgot the part about you not having Uniques. So forget Elektra, you can use Wolverine or Sabertooth instead not as cheap but they both have Regen.

Use Vet Mandarin...he is a god. HAve him taxi around Vet doc sampson for protection (charge too!) or for perplexing his awesomeness even further!

Ok I am not VAS but I just put together a team for you to look at. There are no uniques and the pieces are mostly easy to get so the odds of you having them are good.

This team has lots of free movement with the doombots.
The doombots can combo with boomerand and Klaw to give Boomerand a 12 atk with a couple of psylockes behind him you are looking at a triple 3pt EE, that is almost garunteed to miss. Instead of a beater I put in the Psylockes and Taskmaster to shred instead. They are more versatile if not more durable. Jean can move someone in a quick pinch. The main thing here though is the range atks and the mobility.

I also tried to double up on all the TA's that you will use. So you could take out the con-artist and put in a Hand Ninja or something to give you a tie up piece as well as hydra.

This is something I would play if I had no Uniques. You've got 5 main attackers and taxis for all of them. Black Panther and Destiny move on their own, trying to get the best line of sight. I would use Doombots to taxi Taskmaster and Bullseye because: A)They can copy Syndicate TA and share attack, and B)Taskmaster can Mastermind damage to a Tougness-equipped Bot. The Bots can also copy Hydra TA after they taxi their fare (using Brotherhood or Avengers free movement, of course) to provide a +1 attack bonus. Shadowcat should probably taxi Firelord, because people tend to base his taxi after he gets hurt to prevent him from making a quick getaway back to the medic. Shadowcat's Phasing puts an end to all that. Also don't forget that you have 6 potential X-Men on the team, so you can use that ability in a pinch.

Might I suggest trying to fit in the Prostitute Meat Shield?

5 x R Con Artist = 55points, and if you're willing to throw in either a V Avalanche or a Blizard of any flavour (prolly the better bet for versatility)

That way you've got 5 Perplex sitting around that will allow some of your heavy hitters to hit harder...

Ok here is the team I used...I went 3-0...but had to leave before the final ( I was the only one undefeated)...I won Fellowship though (LE Mary Walker). This is the best I have ever done! I was happy all weekend...alas the happiness ends ( I am now at work )

500 points? Start with V Thor and/or Super Skrull. R Ultron is still gravy. Those three can be your big boys. V Doctor Doom is good too but keep him away from Outwit. Didn't anyone want to mention to this poor guy that U IC Wasp is too good.

Is this upcoming tournament with the new rules? If so no Destiny and go with E Black Cat. Well got to go, Im in class right now talk later.
