So I'm new to this game, and I was scrolling through the halo set on here and I noticed someone say halo figures can't be used in some tournaments because they're not "Modern Age". Someone said that modern age is only Marvel & DC characters. Now I'm only into the halo & Gears figures so far, and only a couple figures from other sets interest me in terms of wanting to play them. Am I screwed when it comes to wanting to play modern age tournaments with my Halo/Gears teams?

Their right. At the moment the only legal modern age pieces is DC or Marvel. You cant use them if your going to Gencon or any other convention.

But check with your venue and see how they feel about it. At ours, our judge does allow them to be played. He feels that they are new clix pieces and you can use them if you want to. He's not going to stop someone from using new clix.

Besides being a collector piece, whqat good would they be then.

But dont worry, it has been reported on here that next years Street Fighter set will be considered modern age.

As was said, check with your local venue and see what they allow. A lot of venues are allowing the Gears/Halo figures to be played as Modern Age.

My venue doesn't like them. Maybe I shouldn't have built a Raam/Brute Shot Brute team. I think the 14 grenades were too much.

I love the frag grenades in GOW and Halo!
