One of my regulars got a 2-d Infinity Gauntlet at GenCon, and we are wondering if it is tournament legal, or if it's just for home games like the holiday-themed objects.

Does anyone have any info? IIRC, it requires a d6 roll to pick up, and costs 0 points. It is not the same as the 3-d Gauntlet.

I believe there was an event dial for the Infinity Gauntlet very early in the HeroClix series. THAT may be what your friend has. If that is the case, I imagine it is "technically" a Golden Age or Silver Age piece, but not legal for Modern Age tournaments.

Granted, that is up to the person running the tournament as well.

That wasn't an official WK release. Was it given out at the after hourse event? I know they had a lot of stuff they were giving out there.

Yeah, there was an unofficial after-hours event that was run. It was golden age, 267 points. I think what you describe is from that.

Wasn't there also some unoffical feat/sp object Infinity Gauntlet that could be aquired from a magazine way back? It was like 500pts and could bring in figs under 50pts from outside the game, etc.

That happens to be the point total for U Thanos, Supernova was legal for the tourney...

The answer is: It is NOT allowed at official tournaments. Home games only.
